Concept: Divergence - tending to be different or develop in different directions.
As you enter the hotel both the walkway and the ceiling diverge - leading to the reception desk while the other leads to the concierge desk leaving the fireplace the main focal point. Custom ironwork surrounding back-lit pillars alludes to the hotel's name while the black and white interior continues the divergence of color. Finally the low light commits to the intimacy of the smaller interior space.
